UKTVNOW.COM is a brand new site and as a result there may be some issues that I have not forseen. And some that I have.
Browser compatibility, missing content and some design issues are all things you might run in to. I am trying to minimize this as much as possible of course but with a site like this that takes advantage of many Web 2.0 (next-generation features) problems are no doubt going to arise.
If you have any problems with the site or need any information on how to get something working don't hesitate to E-Mail me at Mentalist@live.com and I will see what I can do to get everything right.
That said, I suggest that you use Firefox for this site (and the rest of the Internet) since that is what it has been tested on extensivly.
You can get the newest Firefox from the link below if you don't already have it (and you really should, shame on you!)
Even if you're set in your ways with another browser it doesn't hurt to have Firefox installed as a back-up browser for when things go wrong. It's the most secure and feature rich browser on the planet and this site and the rest of the Internet will run faster and smoother all the while making sure you are secure.
Other things to be aware of are the fact that I am in the process of developing the site so don't expect every video to be up just yet. There is some good stuff here already but there is a lot of work to do to complete the library. But it will be growing in leaps and bounds every single day so stay tuned. I hope you enjoy the site and once again, if you do check out our G00gIe $pon$or$ (it only takes a second of your time) and help me keep Uktvnow.com a permanent feature on the web. Hosting costs are expensive so if you feel like you have enjoyed your time here it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance for that.
Now, there are some things to mention about watching the videos on this site.
You of course should have the latest flash player installed on your computer. If you can watch Youtube videos then this site should work across the board anyway so not much problem there.
One of the services I use due to the quality of the videos is Veoh.com. Veoh is a great service but if a video is over 45 minutes long you will see that only a 5 minute preview is played and a prompt will be shown asking you to download Veoh TV (an application) to watch the full feature. You will have to do this to watch the longer shows that are hosted through Veoh. This is an annoying extra step but the software is clean (Veoh is a respected internet site) and it allows you, of course, to watch the longer shows.
